About
Serbian Heritage Foundation
Petar II Petrović Njegoš
The Serbian Heritage Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation working to prevent and relieve poverty across Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia — while advancing arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit.
The Foundation is run by its board of trustees on charitable principles, with no trustee receiving any personal benefit.
What the charity does
The constitutional objects of the CIO are to prevent and relieve poverty for the public benefit by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and organisations having the same aim. One of the main goals is the advancement of arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit with particular reference to that of Serbia.
Who the charity helps
The CIO’s main aim is to help those in need — in particular vulnerable children by providing one-off or continual support. It is also intended to help the most vulnerable and isolated families through support in education and healthcare across Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
How the charity helps
The CIO collects donations from organisations, companies and individuals and distributes them transparently by publicly announcing who the beneficiaries are. The main fundraising event is the Saint Sava Ball in London, where all donations are pooled into a single fund used to help those in need.
